Talking about inclusion … How do you handle gender in the German language?

We try to use gender-neutral phrasing and word forms as much as possible in German

Please note that these don’t translate and aren’t easy to explain in English. Wherever those don’t work, we use a colon as it’s one of the most common options – “alle Mitarbeiter:innen” (all employees) or “jede:r Mitarbeiter:in” (every employee).
